HARRIOT LAWSON 1837
A miniature English sampler
Delicately and intricately stitched this miniature sampler features satin stitched floral baskets and other floral and celestial motifs, as well as birds, within what is probably the original frame. Stitches used are petit point, counted satin and cross. A thin silk ribbon surrounds the sampler, somewhat frayed.
The sampler itself is in very good condition, with some fading to the silk and darkening of the fine gauze ground.
