GERMAN ALPHABET SAMPLER DATED 1850
A four sided floral border surrounds eight decorative alphabets arranged symmetrically around a central alphabet, executed in cross, petit point, four sided and eyelet stitches.
Very good condition (no holes, no stains) apart from some fading of the silk. It is dated 1850 in the lower right corner, and is likely German. 13-1/2″ x 13-1/2″. (There is a frame, it is very narrow and nondescript, but can be included.)
