LYDIA PRAT HERSAM, dated 1655
English Charles II band sampler stitched with silk on linen, featuring many horizontal pattern bands executed primarily in double running stitch, with four sided, cross, petit point and counted satin stitch highlights.
The sampler is in very good condition with bright color only slightly faded on the front. There is minor stitch loss in a few of the sections stitched with blue silk.
The sampler is unframed, 21-1/4″ x 8-1/2″
