ELIZABETH RICHARDS circa 1760
Beautifully and finely executed English band sampler stitched with silk on fine linen featuring four pious verses as well as two alphabets and horizontal floral and crown bands. A lovely colorful floral band stretches across the bottom.
Stitches used are cross, counted and freehand satin, stem and eyelets. Excellent color and condition, in a 20th century frame. 8-3/4″ x 18-3/4″ sampler itself, with the frame 10-1/2″ x 20-1/2″
