Description

Replete with traditional Scottish needlework sampler motifs including illuminated letters, peacocks, an arcaded horizontal floral band, initials of family members, and the characteristic predominantly green and red color scheme, this finely stitched sampler has been reproduced from the original, now in a private collection. The reproduction sampler, like the original, is executed in cross, eyelet, double running and back stitches.
