Antique Pennsylvania Quaker Sampler by Elizabeth Graham in her 14th Year, circa 1820

This antique is SOLD.

Elizabeth Graham stitched her sampler on homespun linen. and apparently the sampler was never framed but safely stored away. The colors of the silk on the back of the sampler are the same as on the front. The sampler has been float mounted on linen in a period style frame.

The stitches used in the sampler are cross over one and two threads of linen and eyelet. Apart from a small stain of color bleed between her first and last name the sampler is in excellent condition. The sampler measures 17″ x 17″. The outside measurement of the frame is 21-1/2″ x 21-1/2″.
