MRS. I.E.        1742
The original of this reproduction came from either the north of England, or possibly Scotland. The date occurs on the fourth line, and Mrs. IE and the mysterious initials SH appear on the eighth line. Characteristically, reds and greens are found on many Scottish samplers of this period.
