Hannah Trecothick's sampler

discussed and pictured in Bolton and Coe's book American Samplers (plate XIV), carries over a transatlantic tradition of working the Lord's Prayer and the Creed in tablet form on a sampler. Born in 1724 to Mark and Hannah Trecothick, certainly hearty Episcopalians of Boston, Hannah married James Iversin 1753. She died in 1807.
